What is MicroSilver BG™?

The antibacterial and antiviral substance MicroSilver BG™ is a highly porous silver compound (silver powder, with an average particle size of about 7-10 μm) with a spongy outer structure visible under an electron microscope. It has a large, antimicrobially active surface whose effect is useful for cosmetic purposes on skin and mucous membranes.

MicroSilver BG™ removes bacteria and viruses present on the skin and mucous membranes that would otherwise easily multiply in skin lesions such as small sores in the oral cavity or skin irritations. MicroSilver BG™ primarily works by disrupting and affecting the enzymatically controlled metabolic functions of the cell membranes of microorganisms.
